Any business who is interested in helping to develop the community is eligable to become a member. The direct benefit is a stronger local economy, more businesses, increased job opportunities, higher salaries and better fringe benefits. The indirect rewards are more public programs, better schools and less crime. The work of the SACC is financed by the investment of its members. The dues structure is designed to permit even the smallest business to become a member. The SACC is guided by a board of directors and chamber members who are business leaders in the Somali Community. Question: What does the SACC do? Answer: The SACC is a service and community action institution. It provides opportunities and contacts through which people can make effective change for the progress of the community. It also helps create job opportunities by stimulating industrial, financial and commercial growth. The SACC is the only organization advocating on behalf of the Somali Business Community. It brings conventions, sales-meetings and tourist activities to the area. It also provides opportunities for members to network with other business leaders, and to participate in business education seminars. It invites local and regional businesses of all kinds to team with Somali businesses, and provides goods and services to the Somali Community. In all of these functions, the SACC serves as a partner to every business and professional in the community.
